About the Presentation
Successful communications plays a defining role in your personal leadership style. In this interactive workshop, you will sample practical strategies for commanding listeners' attention, decreasing nervousness and achieving greater connection with your audience, as well as other valuable tips that will help you communicate with the energy, passion, and commitment that are the hallmarks of a dynamic leader.
About the Speaker
Ann Timmons

Ann Timmons, Communications Artist, uses her background as an actor, director, writer, and teacher to share unique perspectives on presentation skills and communications training. Clients include solopreneurs, upper-level managers in the private sector, government and non-profit spheres, as well as political candidates and public policy advocates. She has designed and run workshops for businesses and organizations, including Department of State's Emerging Women Leaders in Public Service Forum; The Center for Nonprofit Advancement; The Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University; The Ferguson Group, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service; Raffa, PC; Virtacore Systems, Inc.; and the Women & Politics Institute, American University.
Ann has been an assistant professor in the Theatre and Speech Communications Departments of the City University of New York and American University. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College, Ann received her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Illinois. She has studied with international voice and speech experts from the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Juilliard School, The Metropolitan Opera, and New York City Opera. In addition to her work as a professional performer, Ann is a playwright and director. Ann is a member of Actors' Equity Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and Screen Actors Guild.

Join us for PMIWDC's quarterly executive breakfast meetings in the District. Building on the overwhelming success of the meetings in 2007, the P.M. in the A.M. series will continue to feature cutting-edge speakers, good food and great opportunities for connecting with other PMs, all in a no-nonsense format designed especially for a busy PM's midweek schedule.
The breakfasts begin promptly at 8:00 am at the National Press Club in downtown Washington.
