How does a program manager effectively tie business strategy to program performance? This presentation will lay out a structured systems approach to program management that enables a project team to; step back and understand the environment in which their program operates, establish flexible plans that accommodate the environment and anticipate future trends, and then execute a program plan with a clear focus on achieving desired strategic goals.

About the Speaker

Dave Buczek

DB&A
President

Dave Buczek is the President of DB&A, a business and technology consultancy located in Fairfax, Virginia. For the past nine years he has led the delivery of services for this firm, focusing on providing innovative solutions to his client’s most pressing business challenges.

Recently, his efforts to assist the FAA in enterprise fatigue risk management were recognized as a best practice at the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal, Canada. Also, while with DB&A he led the development of a patent-pending business system and method for rare event statistical analysis, created a spinoff company, served Fortune 50 corporations, business start ups, government and non-profit clients and achieved a 100% on time, on budget delivery record for the company.

Prior to co-founding DB&A he was a Director of Digital Business Strategy at Sapient for government, health and education clients where he grew client services at a rate of over 40% per year for three years. Before joining Sapient he was a Senior Principal at American Management Systems where his innovative clean sheet redesign of a government agency was written up in the New York Times and featured on National Public Radio. He began his consulting career at Xerox integrated systems, working to redefine the concept of a “document” and the business processes that manage organizational knowledge. He began his business career serving intelligence community clients while with MITRE Corporation, C3I Division in Mclean, Virginia.

He holds degrees and certificates from Georgetown University, American University School of International Service, the EC Institute in Europe, and Binghamton University.
